There are more measures than ever before being put in place from people with their homes and companies with their business buildings. As well as more people protecting their property the ways in which they can do it are also expanding with more methods being developed as the graffiti problems continue to rise. Some of the different methods now widely used by people with their homes and companies alike and some of the advantages of having the protection are;
Prevention products
There are a selection of products that work to prevent the paint sticking to the wall or surface to begin with. This is a great method as it means when it comes to the removal they don't have to use very harsh chemicals to remove the paint they can just use a high powered water pressure washer to remove any of the paint. This also saves a lot of time as the washing off of the paint takes a lot less time when they are using the pressure washer to remove paint on protected surfaces. This kind of protection is very good because although the paint or marker may be removed the protective cover is not removed by the water and is weather proof, however, it will take a certain amount of time after the pressure washer is used for it to be fully effective again. The way in which they work is by applying a wax like layer to the surface this stopping any of the paint penetrating the surface and there fore permanently staining the surface.
Cleansing products and methods
The kind of product you will have to use is different every time dependant on the surface you are trying to clear the paint from. There are a variety of chemicals that can be used to remove graffiti and if used correctly they remove it very quickly as well, however, in some cases if the product is not used correctly it can make it harder to remove the paint. Another alternative to removing the paint with harsh chemicals is to paint over the graffiti, to do this though you would have to ensure you are using the correct kind of paint. Also if considering this as a method you would have to ensure you remove as much as possible with a scrubbing brush and hot water, once this is done and dry you would need to test a small area to see if the spray paint will seep through the paint if this is the case the you will need to put a sealant coat over the graffiti before painting over it.
